Altitude Quest is calling you and this time to take you to one of the most scenic mountains of Sahyadris, Ratangad.

About Fort: As the name suggests ‘Ratan’ which certainly means Jewel in Hindi, Ratangad fort is indeed jewel in all the hill forts here in Bhandardara region of Sahyadri mountain range. Ratan Wadi is the base village for this hill fort. On top Ratangad has one natural rock peak with a cavity, the peak is called Nedhe or Eye of the Needle. Ratangad was captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhosle and was one of his favorites. The base village Ratanwadi has an Amruteshwar temple which is famous for its carvings. Geographically Ratangad is at the banks of Bhandardara lake of Ahmednagar district. With views of the lake and highest mountains in Sahyadris looks very much lost in time. This trek is one of the most famous near Mumbai but is not for beginners. Trekking group Altitude Quest Adventure based in Mumbai conducts trek to this amazing peak.

Itinerary: • Assemble at start point SGNP, Borivali at¬¬¬¬ 11 PM • Tea and snacks break on the way • Reach base village at 4 AM • Start trekking at 5 AM after stretching, briefing, and breakfast • Reach the top of the fort by 8:00 AM • Descend down to Samrad village reach by 12 noon • Lunch at 1 PM in Samrad Village • Reach Mumbai by 8 PM

Cancellation and Refund applicable on tour cost: 1. If cancellation is done prior to 15 days of outing 75% will be refunded. 2. If done prior to 10 days of outing 50% will be refunded 3.
